“Spent about an hour in both Piran and Portoroza. Would have liked longer in Piran to able to climb the city walls but overall there was enough time to get a sense of this unique part of Slovenia. Piran had a number of cafes and restaurants serving freshly caught sardines and mussels. But decided to wait until later in the trip to eat and was disappointed at Portoroza as it is a beach resort selling “beach” fast food. The driver was good in explaining the history of the area.”
